Our History
Originally founded in Tinton Falls, NJ in 2007 as ai|inc, The France Hopper Companies is a small business headquartered in Portland, OR and is primarily involved in content production and consulting services. In 2010, our headquarters moved to Philadelphia, PA. As part of a major restructuring in 2015, we changed names to The France Hopper Company and moved headquarters again to Portland, OR in August of the same year.
Over the years, we’ve experimented with several lines of business, from consulting, to selling books and pop culture goods. Today, we have narrowed our operations to our two strongest lines of business: France Hopper Services, which includes France Hopper Transport, and France Hopper Entertainment Group, which includes The France Hopper Network and The France Hopper Channel.
Our Mission
When we started providing consulting services in 2007, we set out to help small businesses flourish. In 2011, we greatly expanded our content creation operations, with a focus on highlighting everyday life in Philadelphia. Over the years, we’ve helped food trucks grow into a physical storefront, public transit agencies develop new wayfinding and passenger information displays, and documented advancements in accessibility technologies.
Through it all, we’ve always had one simple goal: to prove that dreams can happen.
