
It all started in 2007 with France Hopper Services, then known in ai|inc.
Eileen Strong, a professional speaker based in Eatontown, NJ, approached Stephen while Stephen was still in high school with the challenge of building and maintaining several websites for her small business, Strong Incentives.

In July of the same year, our second line of business, The France Hopper Channel, launched on YouTube. Over the years, it has seen several name changes and changes in focus. Today, it comprises one half of our largest line of business, France Hopper Entertainment Group.

In 2011, Stephen took up blogging (again) with the launch of their personal blog, The France Hopper Network. It comprises the other half of the France Hopper Entertainment Group.

In 2013, we launched our fourth line of business, Hopper Books & Media, as an experimental platform with several fulfillment partners to specialize in the sale of traditional and pop-culture goods from Japan. Its fulfillment partners included Powell’s Books, Neowing Corporations, and J-List Holdings.
With demand for services slowing down and the loss of a fulfillment partner, Hopper Books & Media wound down operations in May of 2025.

In 2015, we opened an internal line of business, France Hopper Holdings, to organize and manage a growing portfolio of digital assets.
France Hopper Holdings was dissolved in 2025 through the consolidation of our lines of business in to France Hopper Services, our consulting branch, and France Hopper Entertainment Group, our content creation branch.

France Hopper Transport launched in 2019 as a part of France Hopper Services, specializing in consulting services for the public transport sector.
